Just wanted to say howdy...Just found this site. I am a fairly recent musky addict. Still kind of in the process of getting myself set up with gear. And yes, I know I will never have everything I "Need". I live in northwest Indiana and have an 8 year old son who is hooked on muskies now as well after catching his first, a 41incher a few weeks ago. Looking forward to getting to know you guys and just being a sponge and sucking in as much of your knowledge as possible.

Welcome bwana72. Congrats on getting the boy his 1st!
Other than the water, there is nowhere better than right here to learn about these fierce creatures. Good luck settling in!

A 41incher for his first?? Should have started out a bit smaller!
No, actually that is pretty sweet! Great folks here and very helpful. Save some $$ and pick up some gear here on the buy/sell threads.

Hello and welcome. You are right you will never have enough stuff. Getting your son hooked is the best of it all. Your son will have many friends in his life but he will only have one dad. Got my daughter hooked several years ago. My favorite picture of my daughter is her and her first muskie, it sits on my desk at work.

Learn to WORK the baits you already own. DO NOT go on a buying spree. Completely unnecessary.  Best of luck.
