July 9th,
We are going to have a Mini-Challunge between North Metro and the Twin Cities chapters of Muskies Inc..

Here is how it will work;

Fishing hours are from 5 - 9 pm.

You can fish Bald Eagle and/or White Bear Lake.

Your fishing partner needs to be someone from the other chapter. So each boat will contain at least one member from each chapter. More than 2 people can fish from a boat.

Your partner from the other chapter must witness your fish's measurement.

The chapter that catches the most fish (points awarded using Muskies Inc point system) will win.

All participants are invited to Beartown Lounge for pizza at 9:30 pm. Beartown Lounge is located on the west side of Hwy 61 in White Bear lake.

The losing chapter will pay for the pizza, up to $100. If no fish are caught, the two chapters will split the cost of the pizza.

Are there any interested members of the Twin City Chapter of M.I. That are interested in fishing the Mini Challenge?

I am looking for a partner from the T.C. chapter to hitch a ride with. I can return the ride later in the year on Vermilion durring the Chapter Challunge.

Bonus- if you are a North Metro Member you will get participation points for fishing this event for the North Metro muskie league.

I think we can build on this for bigger participation between chapters.
Please post up here if you have any interest in the challenge.

Good Luck

Steve

I have interest in the challunge.

My boat, however, is not mobile. I am a TC chapter member and need a boat partner from the North Metro. So I would need a partner with a boat in order to participate. My boat is on a slip on Tonka. Like Sorgy said, I would also be willing to return the trip later, on TONKA if the said person was interested.

Let me know if anyone needs someone to join in their boat.

it is $35 with the magazine and $25 without the magazine. for a one year membership. You are closer to the North metro chapter. But you can join any chapter.

For insurance reasons you must be a Muskies Inc member (either North Metro or Twin Cities Chapter) to be part of the mini-Challunge. Of course you could fish on White Bear or Bald Eagle and watch where the MI experts fish without being a member.

For insurance reasons I think you have to be a member to be part of this,,All MI meetings etc are open to the public but an actual league event is different however you can sign up for a membership on line,,,anytime beforehand

We TC members have to REALLY have our game on because losers buy food afterwards and that means feeding North Metros Chris "Big Sail" Cochran afterwards!!!!!!

You can join any Muskies Inc. Chapter and attend any Chapter meeting which are all open to the general public as well.

The North Metro Chapter spun off the Twin Cities Chapter years ago when the meeting location was moved and to provide convenient meeting location options for MI members in both the South and North TC area.

The North Metro Chapter (Chapter # 21) meets at 7pm at the Coon Rapids VFW 1919 Coon Rapids Blvd on the third Tuesday of the month September through May. There is a wide range of speakers from top guides to DNR fishery personnel to lure expects etc.

The Twin Cities Chapter (Chapter #1) monthly meetings are normally scheduled on the second Tuesday of each month at the Knights of Columbus on 1114 American Blvd W Bloomington, MN at 7pm.

It is not to late to participate in this Tuesday's evening Mini Challenge between the two Chapters. However you need to be a Muskies Inc. member for insurance purposes. Contact Chris Cochran [email protected]

Not a Muskies Inc. member? You can sign up and help support Muskies Inc. and the Muskie fisheries.
