It's pressured like you wouldn't believe. I hate going there, but do from time to time. It's about 535-acres, trolling motor only, and has a ton of boat traffic. There are regular bass tournaments on the lake; about one-a-week when the season gets going. If you plan on fishing the lake make sure you have good batteries; that's the most important thing you need to know. Try to avoid weekends and holidays if possible. It gets packed on weekdays, but on the weekends you'll get more kayakers, canoers, sailboaters. There's also a boat rental on the lake, so that increases the boat total as well.

Posts: 41 | Visited my brother on that side of state in 2010. Took a trip and unloaded my kayak at the launch that doesn't close at dusk and was never able to park my car to start fishing for the tigers. One local was especially rude and took a spot a waited for. When I said I had a kayak at the launch he told me "tough $%!#". After 30 minutes I left. If I had a trailer I could have parked in the near empty trailer only parking but didn't want to risk a tow or ticket.

We hate kayakers! The guys that fish from them are generally pretty good about keeping their distance and being respectful, but there are far too many recreational kayakers that go out of their way to pee you off. I have had them within in inches of my boat. They just take laps and don't even look when they cut in front of you.

Posts: 41 | Some fishermen who use kayaks aren't "kayakers", it is just the boat we own. Rec kayakers are slack jawed gawkers especially those who rent at times and they just don't pay attention and cut off both casting or trolling efforts, sometimes redirecting me to fish I may not have caught without the adjustment. When trolling boaters who aren't fishermen will run over my lines without realizing they are doing it. They just don't think a guy on a kayak is trolling. works both ways. Even worse, casting a weedbed or shoreline a guy with a motor jumps 100 feet in front and cuts me off. patience Edited by muskyjerk 3/2/2012 7:32 PM

Posts: 36 | I fish from a Kayak there and it is annoyingly crowded. Just not many options for musky around here. I am very respectful to other fisherman. Ive had the recreational kayakers cut me off plenty and a boat with two guys on it pass me and pretty much fish on top of me. Not to mention one of the two saw what I was using and put the same lure on. Not sure if it was solely an FU or the guy was oblivious. Either way it got under my skin. I would prefer to have a boat, I just don't have the space now. What I love about fishing is getting away from it all and to relax. This is not the best place for that but its whats available to me. I take a few farther trips up north when I can, but for a weekend day and the possibility of catching a ski I just have to deal with it.

I fish the lake and have had few problems with people . The bass presssure is crazy but people still do well . Their are pures in the lake and some big tigers stay away from the peak times and you will have a good trip goood luck

This lake has been stocked with pures and tigers for a number of years. Many fish are over 40" at this time. Like anywhere else there can be some traffic on the weekends. State of PA and MI 50 have been working on stocking this for a number of years. Check out www.mi50.com for more info
