Posts: 676 Location: Wisconsin | For the iphone, go with RadarScope....the best hands down. I can change the radar type, location, etc. I can even see the velocity of the cell (chasing Tornados). It's 10 bucks, but well worth it. Another is WX Alert USA that takes info from NOAA.

Best of all, it's free and created by a Wisconsin based company. They also have the Pinpoint Lightning app which will alert you whenever there is a strike within X number of miles from you.

Posts: 93 Location: WI | For android I like weather bug elite you can also get the weather bug locator for free to go with the app and it'll follow you. It has a nice radar widget that will go right on one of you phones screens and will refresh every hour or when ever you tap it. It works well for me!

Posts: 20218 Location: oswego, il | I picked up a local tv station weather app. Pretty cool and works well. I am sure other areas have stations with similar apps.
