| Dont know how many guys here have land at Lake Carroll but the spring hatchery nets are in for the walleye. BUT, we are getting muskies in the nets too. Nothing nearing 50" yet like past years but, a bunch in the 40's (as well as 30's obviously). Water temps were still low 40's as of last weekend. |

| Yeah, its private. (land owners and guests). I bought some land out there a few years ago. I have been helping out with the hatchery in the spring. I have seen some big muskies in there as well. Nice lake and not a bad golf course either. |

| Because i do know people who lurk and post on this board have fished the lake. Not my problem if you dont fish the lake. |

| considering buying out there, too. would do so primarily for musky opportunities. what numbers/size have you caught in the several years that you have owned there? since it looks deep, are you fishing alot of suspended musky? |

| I think they are going on 6 years since the last time this lake was stocked. There is no evidence to support natural reproduction at the lake. If you are thinking of buying out there to chase muskies, you may want to reconsider. At least until they implement some sort of stocking program for muskies. If you are thinking of buying to chase bass, white bass, and walleye then you definitely should. Nice lake, but gets filled up pretty heavy with pleasure boaters from Memorial Day to Labor Day. |

| The biggest i have seen was 51" that we got in the spring nets. I know of a few 49-50"ers that have been caught in the past couple of years. Still alot of mid 30 to 40"ers. Alo, being relative to the polulation in the lake. Which i would consider a fishable but low density. The lake is deep but most action seems to be the shorelines and bays. Doesnt seem to be alot of trolling but they are there and i do know of some that have been taken that way.
We are trying to ressurrect the muskie stocking program. There seems to be interest but we will see. Nothing set yet. I think that things may happen along the lines of other places where guys donate to stock the lake to offset the cost of stocking muskie. Kind of like the clubs supplementing stocking through their donations. Its about 640 acres. |

| thanks for the info, guys. most of my fishing would be spring/fall. what would be considered standard # of follows/hooked fish during those periods for a caster? |
