| I have done foils in the past but these are my first "glitter's". I was inspired by Stan Durst and his Glitter Perch color he painted with the gold background just a little bit ago. I get ideas from all of you guys but that one Stan did stuck in my mind and I had to try it out as it looked good to me. I don't have the same products Stan used so I just "winged it" after going through my kids art supplies, lol. These are my first 3 "glitter's" and look forward to making more. Next step is to try to get the b@lls to paint some fins on a few.

Now those are some great looking glitters you made. You did yourself well young man.
Remember this from an "old man" you are only limited by your own imagination. In fact, that goes for the rest of you talented painters out there., both here in the USA and abroad. You all do such a great bunch of patterns.
I am "Honored", that in some way, you found inspired by something I had done and you did a very good job of it yourself.

| I am going to paint today a little and am going to give the fins my first try. I will have the paint thinner right next to me in-case..... I watched the fin video and it doesn't look all that bad but it is extreme detail and working so close to the bait that gets me nervous. I usually don't take the tip off the airbrush b/c of "tip dry" but looks like I need to for this project. I know I need to turn the psi's way down and need to take the tip off the airbrush for the fine fin lines but anyone have any other tips? Any sort of fin painting tips would be very, very much appreciated! I really think I am ready to do these fins and think it is my next step for progressing as a painter. |

You should be able to purchase fine tips and needles for you airbrush. I use all medium and can turn them down to fine point but the fine point setup is much easier and dependable to work with on small pin point stuff.
