Posts: 134 Location: East TN | Hey guys, So the show our club is going to be hosting a booth at is this weekend and we had arranged for another member to build a display board of sorts. Unforunetly he isn't going to be able to make it til later in the day of the first day of the show, So I am needing to build something quick & cheap to serve as a display board for our booth. The main thing that will be hanging on this is a fish mount, which will go at the top...then we will be pinning up some other items here and there, but it doesn't have to be too big(maybe at least 4'x4'). I'm thinking of some sort of tri-pod or bi-fold type stand...however i'm just not sure of the best/cheapest way to do this will be. If you guys got any suggestions, or picture would be great, I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

Posts: 1887 Location: syracuse indiana | hey bubba , we built one for our clubs booth. i can see if i have a pic of it, but what we did was take 2 8 ft 2x4's and built a square base and ran them up and then braced them going back down to the square bottom, and for the body of the stand we put that plastic pegboard all up it, and had to add a piece of wood along the top for support for the fish. and you have to put a heavy sand bag on the bottom to hold it up. i will see if i have a pic of it. i have it in my garage if i dont i will get it out and take some pic's of it . it didnt cost us much to make and looks sweet...bill Attachments ---------------- Mermaid Parade 005.jpg (69KB - 117 downloads) Picture 013.jpg (193KB - 103 downloads) Picture 014.jpg (187KB - 111 downloads)

Posts: 1887 Location: syracuse indiana | there are the pics, you can see the stand, it can be used anywhere, just have to have weight on the bottom to keep it from going forward, we can hang our clothes and extras and our banner from it too. its built pretty tough, if you need pics of the back i will get them for you if u need them..bill

Posts: 105 | Here is a picture of the booth I built for our club. Not sure it is a quick build but it worked great and sets up and tears down really fast. If you want more details on how it was built let me know. Attachments ---------------- booth.jpg (83KB - 93 downloads)

Posts: 134 Location: East TN | Wow, That is real nice, however like I said...I need something quick, and cheap(no lumber on hand)...so whatever lumber is needed will come out of my pocket...haha. But thanks. I believe bills design will work great for us. I actually drew up a rough sketch of it tonight, and actually thinking about putting about a 6" lean in it to offset the "tippy" action of it. But like I said, I think it'll work just fine. Thanks alot guys. Both really nice setups you got there.

Posts: 1887 Location: syracuse indiana | hey bubba, just put it straight without the lean, it will make the fish look better, just put sandbags on the back of the bottom, the fish will stand out better hanging flat than with a lean....bill
