Location: Michigan | For all you bucktail makers out there, do you prefer the 1/32" or the 1/16" flashabou for making bucktails? |

Location: Twin Cities, MN | To my knowledge cowgirls come with Magnum flashabou. You can find it at a number of places, Moore's, Cabela's, and Thorne Bros to name a few. I think some guys are using the saltwater flashabou also. |

To my knowledge it's Flashabou proper. Usually in the 1/32, but occasionally 1/64th in some pearl applications.
I use the same on my baits for customers. The Saltwater stuff works too and is good for adding bulk to a bait or fly. |

Location: The Yahara Chain | I use the magnum flash, 1/32. It comes in 20" packs. One will make a nice skirt for a double 10. I use half of one for a conventional bucktail.
I think the 1/64, regular flash, is junk for making a bucktail. It tangles way too much. I haven't used the saltwater stuff. I believe it is thicker than the magnum, you are not going to have as much pulsation with the saltwater. |

Location: Kodiak, AK | Alot of pearl colors aren't available in the Magnum and Saltwater size; black being one of them. But it does have far more rigigity than the standard mylar in 1/64, and does well....but like I say, only the pearl. Standard 64th Flashabou is a mess. |

Location: MN | I bought flashabou directly from Hedron. Great people to deal with and they have everything in stock.

Location: Hugo, MN | Musky Mayhem uses magnum flashabou for the most part, and they get it in rolls instead of 20" chunks. If you're going to mass produce them you'll want to get the rolls, but if you're just tying up a few dozen for yourself and some buddies you can get by with the 20" packs. As mentioned before, you'll need a tax # to purchase direct from Hedron. |
