First winter with a 4 stroke Suzuki, what do you guys do to winterize them? What do you do about the gas in the gas tank? And how much do you leave in there if any?

Change the oil, change the lube in the lower unit, make sure the gas tank is full and marine stabill is used. You can put a little oil in the spark plug holes, then put the plugs back in. After I start it in the spring, I change the plugs. That's about it. I own a 60 hp. Never had a problem.

Change the filter, but you do not have to fog it.

Have any of you guys encountered the "100 hour oil change light" that blinks in the Suzuki tachs? I just had my oil changed in Late August, so I know there is no way there has been 100 hours on it yet. Shouldn't the mechanics reset it when they change the oil?

Yes, it should have been reset, but if he didn't do it, simply pull out the red button (kill switch) 3 times I believe when the keep is turned to the "on" position. It will reset it and stop blinking.

What Mike said. 1. Turn the ignition key to the on position 2. Pull out the emergency stop switch plate. 3. Pull up the emergergency stop switch knob 3 times in ten seconds. a short beep will be heard if cancellation is successfully finished. turn OFF the ignition key. Reset the emergency plate. thats it, now a new 100 hr. timer is set. keep track of your engine oil change Hrs. In Ky. we just run our motors year round. Got to go fish now. Marv. ( P.S. 53"er caught last week on the cave.)
