Posts: 32885 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | The sold out 8th annual Capital City Chapter MI Muskie School was a complete success. The classes were full, instructors motivated, and lead off speaker a hit. Dr. Sloss's Wisconsin Muskie Genetics presentation was very interesting, and a great kick off for the day. Lunch was stellar, and the raffles and door prizes very nice. Sue won a new muskie rod and a lure, but didn't win the microwave! The 2009 School was the best of the 8 so far, and I'm betting 2010 will surpass this year's effort, as well. Congratulations to all of the Cap City club on offering such a tremendous value, wonderful way to spend a March Saturday learning about Muskies, and for all you will do for the area waters with the money raised from the School. Win/Win for everyone! Posts: 2894 Location: Yahara River Chain | Steve its the instructors like yourself that make the classes such a great thing to attend. I'd like to thank all the instructors that were willing to help us out. Its what's Muskies, Inc is all about. I can't tell you of all the times I have been helped out chasing these muskies from other members and its just one way of giving back to out up and learning those who have not yet gotten even just the basic knowledge of this fish. I know that I made up nearly 150 name badges so we had at least that many, but I don't know how many walk ins we had. I wish all a great season in 2009.

Posts: 462 Location: Syracuse, Indiana | An AWESOME day. The Cap City folks are AMAZING. Everyone should attend this. Bring lots of paper for note taking, and lake maps for marking! Well worth the 5 hour drive (one way).

Posts: 2894 Location: Yahara River Chain | Dcates, thanks for attending. I was nice to see you again. I certainly am glad that the weather was good for driving for you (no matter now nice it will never be good for me to drive. ). I know several of our 1st ones we had snowstorms. I think they were in early March, I'd have to look at my back issues of our newsletter to be sure. If you guys would like to attend next year (I suspect we will have it again) and have an idea for topic(s), please go to the Cap City web site and post there to let us know. If Jeff Hanson was throwing lures you better have taken notes! I learned a LOT from Jeff way back when I was new to this sport. He's good and man can he eat!
