I'm looking at the 80 pounder with universal sonar option.

Yes, got the 80# with AP US and co-pilot. It works slick so far, although I just used the wrist control, not the foot pedal yet. I used it in river current and working jigs on a 22 foot main lake breakline in 20 mph winds and it did pretty good so when I get it out for muskies I'm sure it will be fine for anything I throw at it. The nice thing is that the US seems to be an upgrade from the last unit I had, the Lowrance LCX-522 connected to it has a lot more detail desplayed with less filtering than I remember with the old US and an X-135 monochrome unit. That will be nice for casting rock walls so you can see if there are little baitfish in the area over 50+' of water.

I had one on my 2007 Polar Kraft, like it so much I put one on my 2008. Love the 80 pound. Built tough and foot pedals are ALOT more durible than the Power Drive pedals.

Thanks a lot guys, I know that two dealers up here have not been able to keep them in stock. They'll order mine in. Off the top of anyone's head, how broad is the range of Lowrance/Eagle units the Universal Sonar will accomodate? Nearly all models? I have a little Eagle FishMark 320 up there for a few years. It's a sensational graph (awesome to eighty feet with a three inch tube jig thru the ice, too) . Not sure if the US will work with it or not.

What shaft lengths are you guys using? I have a 17' Lund.

Here is the list from Cabelas. Looks like your Fishmark 320 will work just fine.

http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/product/standard-item.j...

A 17' Lund I for sure would go with the 24 volt 80lb. model. A 54' shaft should be perfect for that rig. However, the 60' shaft wouldn't hurt anything either.

What model Lund is it? A Lund Tyee I would for sure go with the 60' inch shaft but otherwise, the 54' will be perfect.

Have one on my new boat. Love it so far. I got the autopilot and copliot. Can't see how I survived without those before.

I bought a new boat and had it rigged with the 80# Terrova with AutoPilot. I like the Terrova a lot better than the old 2002 PowerDrive w/ AutoPilot. I don't know about the new PowerDrives, but the Terrova seems more sturdy to me.

Used one in my boat all of last year. Performed flawlessly. 80 lbs. of thrust moves the boat real well even in windy weather. In fact, I even did some trolling at 3+ mph with it.

On my second season with mine.. Love it, recommend it, would buy another.

Only improvement they could make is to put it on a scissors style bracket like the maxxum. IMHO.
