Posts: 14 | A friend of mine's dad caught this fish on a jig and 6lb test after the panfish he was reeling in was attacked by this muskie. In the process, the muskie managed to get hooked in the upper jaw by the jig. He is not a muskie fisherman, so excuse the vertical hold. The fish was released and he would like to get a replica made. He does not have accurate measurements, because there wasn't a tape in the boat. The boy in the picture stands 42" tall. I'm guessing the fish is in the 43-44" range and around 20-21lbs. I'm looking for more guesses. Attachments ---------------- 06_23_07_1743.jpg (33KB - 103 downloads) 06_23_07_1744.jpg (36KB - 100 downloads)

Posts: 2893 Location: Yahara River Chain | I it was me, I would do one of two things. 1) Take the photo to the Taxidermist and have him give you a good number that I would be happy with. or 2) Have "a friend of mine's dad" hold a tape and you should be able to get a rough idea on the length and from there the girth can be realized easier and the Taxidermist should be able to help you out.

Posts: 639 Location: Bloomington, MN | I'm guesstimating 44.5" (est. 22 lbs) class fish. The fish does have some paunch on it (Not Jon & Ponch) so it may weigh more. The angler appears to be well over 6'. Call Joe Fittante!! Mr. Lax does awesome work also!

Posts: 189 Location: Hoboken, NJ / North Webster, IN | I'd say about 44"-45" if the boy stands 42" and it looks as if the fish is on about the same plane as the boy in the second photo. So I'd say 44-55" and low 20lbs. Attachments ---------------- height.jpg (98KB - 105 downloads)

Posts: 80 | Send the pic to Rick Lax with the info, he will hook you up, simply the best repo work out there. WWW.LAXREPRODUCTIONS.COM he sees more pictures in a year than we do in a lifetime so I think he could judge it relatively accurate.
