Well the final count down is on, Mike & I will be shoving off ~6:00AM on Friday for 7 days on the fly-in. Saturday morning takeoff & touch down on the lake ~ 9:00AM. Found out the fly-in operator is giving us an extra half day on the following Saturday-sweet!.... . 3:00PM pickup time! Check out this weather forecast & tell me what you think. -> http://www.theweathernetwork.com/weather/14day/pages/CAON0466.htm?C...

Keep in mind we already have three "really big fish" spot's identified from previous trips. All are in clear trout water, i.e., similar to Crow, Dryberry or Whitefish Bay-LOTW. What would be your advice given this weather forecast, i.e., lures , presentation, etc? No! We are not fishing with suckers!!!!

BTW: when I say really big fish spot, we are talking 60" class fish. Think it's outrageous- Imagine fish that make you weak in the knee's and weeping over what you have just missed. You have to be there to believe! As a well known LOTW guide says-these are real "super tankers". Some say a 40" fish get's stretched to 50", etc. etc. "Haa, I laugh in your general direction." We will be on those spot's! The ultimate question for me is tactic's- right time, right bait, right presentation? The hooks are so sharp my hand's bleed from just looking at them.

Have fun!
Al

Al, I hope when I meet you at the P.I outing, you're a pain in the a$$ because you can't stop talking about the giant you hauled in on your trip. Best of luck to you and your friend. Wish I could have taken you up on one of open spots.

Kevin

MuskyHopeful- Not hauled in yet- I'm on the phone right now talking with Mike- The new Zalt & Zam jerkbait samples just came in, including some brand new color's. " I don't know what it looks like - it looks like a green camo with red belly & it's got real shiny prizm metal flake spots on it too- red, green, orange, blue violet, it all depends on how the light hit's the spots. I've never seen anything like this" Mike Hofmann. "this one's in a Zam type w/ big yellow eye's. Al- "sounds like a phase shifting paint.". Mike- "these are very cool."

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrg- 60 new samples to test drive in two brand new style jerkbaits!!!! Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dang!- I didn't need this additional lure stress- Already have borrowed X-man's "Weagle" & Wabull"- The two antique bucktails(Plueger & Billy Finn) I just got a garage sale, Creeptonite, Stillwater, H20 glider, Shane Wolf Nemo Glider + a couple of other high confidence action lures + ~ $2000 dollars worth of Zalts, Zam's & Alien's. Christ!, I'm not going to have any room for beer on this trip!!!!

Ranger- I'm going to have to do what I did on Cass- pick 5 and goes with those. Thank God, I've got a couple days to decide- but Mike wants me to come up tommorow afternoon & test drive the new jerk baits. I told him to pack all 60 for the trip-just in case.

This is positively disconcerting!

Thanks guy's- it's all about having fun! Just sitting here doing the final packing for the trip- Food list is 100%, including some of these as side's for the filet mignon's, ribeye's , newyork strip's, & lamb rib's----------- yum, yum!

Tick, tock, 12 hours to trip start. I will post the results as soon as we get back on Sunday. ToddM- you have to see this new color on the jerkbaits- Mike was right, it's way cool!

Have fun!
