| Anyone buy one of these off MF? Hows the action>? Seen them on here awhile back and they looked great but wanted to see how they worked before I bought one. Wasn't sure if it would actually walk the dog w/ the big tail on the back. |

yes, they walk w/ the tails..but thinner tails work better than thicker tails.
the orignals had some thicker tails..shorter tails..i didnt like as much as longer, skinner tails...
high quality baits...good clear coat finish..good paint jobs...cast a MILE...work well.

| They are awesome.
I agree about the tail. The short, fat ones might make a ripple in the water or something, but I've used Kalins 5"grubs, some generic 6''ers and they worked out great. Nice action, and with the tail you have that figure 8 option that you don't have with a basic walk-the-dog topwater. This lure will produce.

Location: Elkhart, IN | Shoot you don't even need them to walk to get action. My son was playing around with a Squirrely Burt and a Squirko reeling them on the surface and they just nailed that tail swirl. |

Location: Girdwood, Alaska | I really like these... I have the smaller size one and it really has a nice low riding walk-the-dog action, and that tail on the back is a great addition. The finishes are really tough as well. As for the action with the big tail... I think that the bigger tail just makes it glide a little shorter side to side (which is what I look for in a WTD topwater) and a thinner tail is going to let the bait glide a little bit more. Either way...I will be getting more of these for sure!!

Location: Pewaukee WI | Glad theyre runnin for ya all. The bigger tail will keep it in check like A said which I like cause they can zone in on it nice and you hook up a lot more. You can always cut an 1/8 off the mogambos and test her out, then another 1/8. The slightest difference will change the bait. Straight retrieve works good in shallow flats or clear water if you get a follow tap em to one side and back and they'll hit. |

| You have to remember that I like the longer glide because I'm slow, and it gives me more time to catch up.
Good point with the "less lateral movement" thought. Getting one to look back and forth without coming forward is
a definite plus. Easier target to hit. I try all sorts of stuff on the rear end.....don't go there Andrew......I put a 5" bass flippin' tube on one after I lengthened the tentacles, and it didn't do much when the lure was moving straight, but when it turned, the tentacles really whipped around. Like a Pollack doing the Polka on crack! But if you let it sit by the side of the boat, they flaired out all over.
I was thinking that it might work out good at the beginning of the cast....just let it sit for ten seconds, and then again for working around weed pockets or openings in the milfoil, it just could turn a looker into an eater. Usually stuff sitting in one place in the water is dead. Those tubes made it look alive.

Location: Pewaukee WI | oh ya Beav! never used to do it but all the time now on follows. have had around 5 "pause" hits so far this year. sometimes they smash it and other times just a nip, almost seems territorial when they nip it. never thought of the tube, let me know how it works,

Personally I love the lowrider. I have them all but Jake just send me this lowrider and man does this bait move some water and man what is this bait easy to fish and to throw!!!
