No outing to Sabaskong this year, sorry! If guys want to organize together, great, but just not under the MuskieFIRST name.

Sorry!

Kinda sad to see this one be left for dead. Best outings MF ever had, bar none. Sorry guys, I did my best, even if I couldn't make it the last two years.

Not saying we won't go there again, Shep. There's just too few days in the year, and I don't like running an outing without a MuskieFIRST staffer there who's willing to give up the fishing time to make sure prizes are distributed, meetings are held, a free meal is served at least once, and all the details are covered. Otherwise, it's not an OutdoorsFIRST Outing, it's a fishing trip for a bunch of guys.

The Seven of us that went to the unsponsored trip last year had a great time, it did not take us too long to key in on a pattern we all caught fish, We had some fun get togethers in the evening just shooting the breeze and watching the Northern Lights, I even got some video of a Bear browsing along the shore. a couple of Mornings I made Pancakes & Bacon for all who were there.

I wish I could go this year Sponsored or Not but it's not in the cards, Next year however if it's not a Sponsored Outing I will put something together I need my Sabaskong Fix ( Here PIGGY PIGGY I know where you live )

Good idea, John. Those waters contain magic, and my fix is sure wearing off, let's try for a 2007 trip.
Whether we stay on the island or one of the shore-bound lodges, we need to fish The Bay again. m

Not pointing any fingers, Steve. Just being a bit sentimental, is all. I worked hard to put these together, and in a way blame myself for not being able to attend the last two. I guess the main organizer should have at least made it to them, huh? Oh well, I had a lot of fun up there the first year. Wouldn't trade that week and it's memories for any other.

I have missed your last gatherings on Sabascong but they sound like a great time with a bunch of great people. I am going to look at a Canada trip next year, I'll be watching the boards to see if something gets organized. - jim
