Was watching the local news and saw that Thornes Brothers was named by some Mag as being one of the top 10 tackle shops in the country.
Didn't catch the name of the Mag though.

Way to go Thorne Bro's!

It was Field & Stream that listed it as one of the top 10 in the country.

To be fair, Eagle Sports in Eagle River was also in that top ten list by Field and Stream.

IMO, Guide's Choice in Eagle River has a much better selection for us Musky guys and thier live bait is excellent.

If TB's real store is anything like thier on-line, they have to be good.

TB is Musky Heaven. Sure it's not big and fancy like Gander, Reeds or Cabelas but that's good because that savings gets passed along to the consumer and eliminates the bs too. When you walk in to Thornes you see it's no-nonsense the tops in Musky tackle.

where is Thornes Bro's? always want to stop in when i'm in Minnie, but wonder where and never get a chance. i'll second Guide's Choice developing over the past few years with location, location, location. i'm a HUGE fan of Rollie & Helen's, but then i live 2 miles away and it's convenience is great. otherwise, have gotten to know the guys there and Jim is an outstanding person. nice to see these types of businesses continue to thrive while the other species anglers have been driven to Y'allMart and to me have suffered because of it.

HH, to only sad part about them towing the car is the screw that up just like the viking and choke(tow) the wrong vehicle. They are a first class place that has everything that you will ever need. Not quite the Man Mall!!!!!!!! Like hooks said the are a big contributor to Musky Inc. Hooks give me a call, The big pond is calling this weekend!!!!
