Posts: 2515 Location: Waukesha & Land O Lakes, WI | Our little one is in need of having her Pine Wood Derby car painted for her church race on March 13th.....I'll pay for paint and/or beer. You choose the pattern, but hot pink would be cool. This will give you a chance to practice on something a little less serious than a bait. Shoot me an IM or email.

Posts: 1504 Location: Oregon | How about you help her paint it and I give you instruction on how to do it? It will end up being a great memory for the both of you. My boy and I painted his and he's 14 now and still talks about our working on it. jed www.bikinibaitcompany.com

Posts: 1438 | Beav The Pinewood Derby cars are about the same size as a Muskie bait. I'd say about 6-8 inchecs long maybe 2 wide or so. Scott

Posts: 4266 | I'll paint it for her. Any way she wants it. Flames on the sides and everything. Let me know when you need it done. I'm gone this weekend, my daughter is playing in The State Hockey Tournament. Beav

Posts: 2515 Location: Waukesha & Land O Lakes, WI | I feel like Lucy from Charlie Brown....I'm taking the football back!!! After reading the post about how nice it would be for our little one and I to paint it togther, I felt like a deadbeat step-dad-to-be and have decided that no matter how good it looks (or bad), it should be our project. So thank you to all you guys who stepped forward to help us, it's greatly appreciated and really means alot to me.

Location: Athens, Ohio | GMG, work on this project with your kid. You will be one of the few if my past experience is any measure. I've seen some cars come to the race and when they came out of the shoebox the kid looked at them like it was the first time he'd seen them. This isn't a dad-only project and the real winners seldom finish the race first. Enjoy this time with your kid, they grow up WAAAAYYY too quick (my little Jon just turned 18 yesterday, I feel so OLD!). m
