Hey guys,

I just bought this lure called the phantom. I was wondering what other people thought
about it. It has a great glide to it and it really walks the dog under the water. What time of
year do you guys use glider style jerkbaits.

I use gliders at any time of the season.
They have caught big fish for me in all water temps, at all times of the season.

there is no wrong way or bad time to throw a phantom. only thing i suggest is to play with both sizes. i've noticed fish do have preferences between the 6 and 8 inch models at times. great lures, try mixing up the retrieves.

I love Phantoms, they are great glide baits! I have a custom colored 6" and a perch colored 8", and I work them during all seasons but especially Spring and Summer.

Like Terry said, I will use this bait ALL year long as it produces fish.
I like to work them slow and let them hang for a while and then give it a few quick twitches, this seems to get them going.
Like it was said, mix it up, there is now wrong way to work this bait.

Phantoms are one of those baits that should be in everyones box. IMOP they're the modern day suick (I love suicks too!). Use a varied cadence and you'll catch a bunch of fish on them.
