Location: Rochester, MN | I have been trying to do my homework before buying a new set-up at the Minnesota muskie expo here in a couple weeks. I'm looking for a combo to throw big blades and medium plastics. I currently have a 7' Premier H (2-6oz) with Calcutta 400B and a 9' Premier MH (3/4-3oz) with Curado 300EJ. I would kinda like a split grip rod so i have been looking into the Mojo and Legend Tourney rods. The 9' Big Nasty is rated 3-8 oz as is the 8'6" Mojo. Is the LT worth the extra $200? Should I be considering the XH Mojo or something else? Tranx PG or HG? Thanks. |

Location: Chisholm, MN | Having owned a Mojo, I will tell you that you will be much happier with a Legend Tournament. As far as the Tranx, HG is my preference, but take a look at the recent threads on that. That will help you decide. |

| For the love of god not another PG vs HG thread! Lol. I'd save the money for the Big Nasty personally. If you can, buy it from Thorne and have them extend the butt too, worth the $ IMO. If you can find some dudes with the two reels that would let you try them out it would be for the best. It really comes down to personal preference - I just saved you a lot of time going through all those HG vs PG threads ;). |

Location: Shawano, Wi | I love my big nasty. If you can swing it id go with that personally I would have never paid that much for a rod. Only reason I have the rod is my wife got it for me for my birthday, but she had connections to get it half off from the factory. |

| I have no issues with a nearly full line up on mojos, I haven't tried a lt or many other rods... I'm sure there slightly nicer but I'm not sure about 200$ also I know I don't like the "palming" reel seat on many of the lt rods. |

Location: Tomahawk, WI | If its in your budget , go for the Big Nasty. I upgraded from the Mojo to the LT Big Nasty split grip last summer and I'm never looking back. The mojos are great, but the LTs are a whole different level of awesome!!! |

Location: Wisconsin | You can find Big Nasty's used in really good condition for $250 from time to time and new ones that people are selling a lot of time for $300. You probably would not have to spend a whole lot more to upgrade to the LT. In my opinion there is no comparison between the two, the LT is a far superior rod in both quality and warranty. |
