I was not but held out for the sunset/full moon rise where I was fishing and we were rewarded with a nice 17" bass. Actually the weeds were chopped up all over and we could not keep a clean lure by mid afternoon.

Very slow for us. After a good mid-week did not even move a fish last night. The fact that my truck caught fire shortly after launching may caused us to be a little less than focused though. Put the fire out with 2 cans of coke and a bottle of water. Cut the shorting wires out and managed to drive it home, sans alternator. Heard sirens around the lake and feared they were coming to put out my truck but it turned out to be someone was hurt or something on shore. Made for an exciting evening though.

I Had One fish up on early in the evening, and went back at sunset the fish hit an Ernie boatside. She scared the pants off my uncle, and made her escape. Fishing was slow with other boat reporting no follows or activity at all. Western WI Lake

All the action on Saturday was mid-day high sun on a clear water lake in less than four feet of water, go figure. We had a huge fish follow about an hour before sunset on a dark water lake.

Al,

My daughter and I went out from 7-9, she had one small one blow up on a topwater and I got a pike on DDD. Sunset was pretty though....:)

I lost a good fish about one hour before sunset, and found the crappie and bluegill bite to be poorer than the day before. No idea what that means...

I MUST fish for bait. Balance, Grasshopper, that is what makes the muskie trips become approved events. besides, Sue likes panfish fillets, ALOT.

Why are you asking Al??? The bite for my brother and I was great. We didn't get out until 7:30pm and boated a 42-incher in the first hour. The next fish came at dark, she went 44 inches and I was very happy to catch her. I lost one other fish about a hour after that. The fish was hooked and when it got close to the boat she went nuts, next thing I knew she was off.
Lots of action from 8 till 10pm. The storm hit shortly after midnight, and it was a good one. Got to like fishing the full moon phases just before a good storm.
I will post the pics below.
