Posts: 454 | Hey guys, Hopefully you can help me out. I have my best friend coming to visit from New Jersey this weekend. I have promised to take him muskie fishing on Monday, July 14th. We will be in Minnesota, but I am willing to travel a reasonable distance ( a couple of hours) to make sure he has a memorable trip. Any suggestions as to where you would look, Minnesota or Western Wisconsin. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks guys, I look forward to hearing from all of you! By the way, western metro has been slow for the past week or so now. Fished Tonka and Waconia and only a couple follows to show for my efforts. There has been a lot of boat traffic, even during the week! Frustrating! Take care! Tony Steffes

Posts: 328 Location: MN | Tony - Do not give up on Tonka! It is a matter of time before they go nuts! That day will hopefully be this weekend! I fish it all the time and during the week had not been busy for me. Then again, I fish Tonka in the the morning or at night! Another suggestion would be Hayward...Moose Lake holds some decent fish! And then there is Round Lake and others very close by!

Posts: 454 | Thanks for the ideas guys. I will have to keep giving Tonka a try, tahoe if you would like e-mail me and we could talk about what we were seeing on Waconia and Tonka. Also, I was thinking of Moose lake myself, does anyone have any info about this lake for me. If you do not want to post online here you could e-mail me at [email protected]. I look forward to talking with all of you. Also, what is up with the metro report? No one fishing it lately? Like I said things in the western metro have been very slow, I had one hit at a bucktail last night but that was it, not many fish moving for me. Also, anyone who would like to fish evening during the week get a hold of me and maybe we can work something out, I am always looking to get on the water. Later guys, thanks for you help, any more ideas and suggestions are always welcome! Tony Steffes

| Forest Lake in the Northeast Metro has been pretty good lately, hit the third lake, white bucktails seem to be the bait. Good Luck | |||
