Is this the Darcy that guides out of Andy Myers Lodge? Probably not, but how many D'arcy's are there?

Welcome aboard D'arcy,

And not a moment too soon! Leaving for LOTW on Friday, for a houseboat trip out of Morson. Been trying to get the guys here to help out with the menu, and whether a cigar or bubbly would be appropriate if I get real lucky and CPR my first 50. I'm leanin' towards bringing a good cigar, just in case.

Any info on present conditions would be most appreciated. ANy bloom left in/around Sabaskong? Water Temps? Turnover? Is there a way to get to Whitefish? Not sure, but heard there is a dam where the portage used to be. Any patterns holding lately?

Thanks, and I'll post when I return.

Tight Lines,

Shep

To get over into Whitefish is a set of rollers which will hold a good size boat(no house boat though) so you can get up their for the day.Don't think Whitefish has turned over yet but is getting close, try fishing deep humps and even the weeds which are still standing tall, as far as sabakong the bloom is still there, in the last week i've caught muskies trolling, also on topwater and casting ,still in a mid turnover stage. Fish are scattered and the weather forcast for the next week is afairly warm so don't be afraid to mix it up.Good luck and bring some fat cuban cigars, hate to see not have one when you boat that 50"+ on your trip.[:sun:]

Thanks for the info. I meant rollers instead of portage. So, they are still there. Will have to give Whitefish a try. Leaving tomorrow afternoon. If you're out in the area, stop by and have a cold one, or a stoggie(hopefully) with us. We've got the 65 footer rented, and I'll be in my buddies Crestliner CVX182 with the Yammy on back.

Tight lines, hope to see you,

Shep

Sounds good Shep I'll look for a cloud of stoogie smoke, weather report is sounding positive a little over cast and steady weather good conditions for Whitefish.

Welcome aboard Darcy!

Thanks Slamr, I was wondering the same thing! I was guided by the Darcy from Andy Myers Lodge up there three weeks ago!
