Is there any specific reason that you never see solid chartreuse muskie lures?

There is chartreuse coach dog? Chartreuse with black dots. As a painter I would say the main reason is they would sell very few. After ten years of making my own baits and doing thousands of repaints I have never done one!? Remember the lure catches the fish. The paint catches the fisherman.

I've seen it sell in two areas of the esox fishing world. Cave Run for musky and for Northern Pike all through the north.

Closest I can do.  Actually very popular in Europe for Pike.

My buddy Todd had one of your old red head originals that he took some permanent markers to after the paint wore off. After he used the markers it looked like the Mexico flag. We renamed it the " Chimichanga". The markers eventually wore off so I took some chartreuse Spike It & dyed the whole bait for him. Prior to that he had never caught a musky on it in 4 years. The first day he used it after dying it chartreuse he caught 3 muskies on it.

No problem to build "just chartreuse" version based on my clown pattern: remove red paint/silicone/flash., add  chartreuse blade.

Never done pure chartreuse, but plenty of clown and lemonhead ones.

There's a full chartreuse bucktail at the bottom of Cedar Lake near Hatfield Bay, if you can find it. It's been in there for a couple years, so it might need some refurbishing.

The chartreuse Suick with a few black dots is killer. Chartreuse and white combos have always been good for me in clear waters.
