Random quote: Muskies are nasty. They stink. They taste bad. They are hard to catch and will disappoint even the most devoted angler. The lures required cost more than some women's jewelry. The rods and reels require a remortgage of the house. The boat is always worth more than the tow vehicle. Sure beats the hell out of golf.

North Metro Muskie's, Inc. next Meeting is Tuesday, January 21st at the Coon Rapids VFW featuring Speaker Pat Smith of Frankies Live Bait & Marine who will talk about boat rigging and electronics.

Meeting are always free and open to the general public.

Pat Smith is an avid hunter and fisherman. He caught his first musky in 1976 on Lake of the Woods. He used to have to go to Wisconsin or up to the Longville area. Then came the late 80’s and early 90’s and they were right in his back yard. Thanks to Muskie’s Inc. they made his passion grow to an obsession that put him on the water almost every day for several years. That gave Pat a great opportunity to be part of the pioneering in the sport. He spent 22 years at the Thorne Bros., the best musky shop ever. Pat is now selling boats and electronics for Frankies Live Bait & Marine.

Meeting location:
Where: Coon Rapids VFW Post 9625
1919 Coon Rapids Blvd NW - Coon Rapids, MN 55433-4707
