Location: Wisconsin | Monday morning I was fortunate enough to spend a day on the water with Lee. I work a hectic work schedule and it was a pretty last minute trip but he made it happen. I must say it was the most informative day I have had on the water since I started musky fishing 3 years ago. Granted most people would laugh at that short time but let me say I am 32 and I have been fishing avidly since I was kid so I know my way around so to speak. Needless to say I caught the musky bug and its been a whole new world ever since. Back on topic...
Lee went above and beyond to figure out where I was as far as skill level. He then helped me advance as much as possible in the short time we had. He gave me a much better understanding of my home water that I thought I knew fairly well. On a typical day I would go to a "hot spot" and then use whatever lure worked before without really knowing why it had previously worked or why that is even a "hot spot". I know now how to read the structure on the electronics much better and pick out subtle differences. He gave me the information I needed to move to the next level with a much better understanding of how to make the most out of what was in my tackle box. Now I can capitalize on what I already own instead of constantly searching for a magic lure. My girlfriend will be very happy
I say all this without catching a fish, We had a few follows of some real nice fish but they just would not cooperate. That's musky fishing. Regardless of that, I felt 110% satisfied with my day on the water with him. Super nice guy and very personable. If you are looking for a guide in Madison or southern WI Area give Lee a call!! Thanks again Lee!
