ALERT! GOVERNOR IS ELIMINATING $100/FAMILY REBATE ON JULY 1 Dear Friends: I am sure that all of you know what Senator Satveer Chaudhary has done for the hunting, fishing, trapping and shooting community over the past few years. Senator Chaudhary was very clearly the champion of sportsmen and women in the Minnesota Legislature during the session this year. I have attached a memo from Satveer’s campaign website for your review. If you make a contribution to the Senator’s campaign before July 1, 2009 (only 10 days) you will be eligible for a $100 per household refund from the State or a $50 individual refund if you are single. I made my contribution this morning and I encourage all of you to do the same. If you haven’t used your $100 allowance for a refund yet this year, this is a freebie. If you have already received the maximum refund of $100, please consider a contribution to Senator Chaudhary anyway. Satveer is clearly our champion so we must support candidates like this. Many thanks for your help. Best regards, Don McMillan MOHA 612-940-0823 - Cell Vern Wagner AFH 612-756-3474 - Cell ALERT! THE GOVERNOR IS ELIMINATING YOUR $100/FAMILY REBATE ON JULY 1, 2009! PLEASE REMIT NO LATER THAN JUNE 30! Dear Friend, The 2009 legislative session consisted of many questions about the State’s economic outlook. Without the Legacy Amendment, our natural resources would have faced devastating cuts, and I’m proud to have played a key role in its passage and its first year of appropriations. However, next year is an important re-election, and I ask you to help supplement my campaign so we can continue to preserve, protect, and enhance Minnesota’s majestic beauty. I want to extend my deepest appreciation to those who secured passage of the constitutional amendment in November. We bought a new forest, and accelerated clean water efforts, to name just two. It remains my highest priority to strengthen the coalition of environmental and sportsmen groups that has grown since I assumed chair of the Senate Environment committee. The Environment and Natural Resources committee also passed some key policies: · Prohibiting sales of land to balance the state’s general fund. · Free fishing in state parks. · New forfeiture penalties on ATV’s. · Flexibility for hunters in the field. · A new Star Farms program, rewarding environmentally conscious farms. · New low-impact design standards for construction. · Lower fishing tournament fees and new standards. · New carp removal efforts by expanding bow fishing. · Strengthening the Mississippi Critical Area.< o:p> · Protecting the venison donation program and a new deer management strategy. These are just a few of the many accomplishments made during the past legislative session. With your support, you will continue to have strong ally on these and many other issues. I encourage you to visit www.CHAUDHARY.ORG to make an electronic donation as well as keep informed of my campaign. Thank you for your continued support of Minnesota’s great outdoors, and my re-election campaign. I wish everyone a safe and enjoyable summer! Sincerely Satveer Chaudhary State Senator | |||
