I have been using my Navionics 2007 North chip with my handheld H20 GPS from the drivers seat of my Sportfish 1850 for navigating Sabaskong for a couple of years now. I had a X135 mounted in the front part of my bow that I could see decently from my drivers seat as I drove(for depth), and of course when I would be up front fishing. My X135 took a crap last year so I bought a 520c for up front. I cannot see the GPS screen on the 520 good enough from my drivers seat to make me comfortable when I am going fast. I tried to figure out a way to mount the 520 farther back on my bow so I could see it better, but I can't find a spot I like. So, I think I am going to buy another chip for my handheld to look at when I am driving the boat from spot to spot. Is there any better chip out there than the one I have? I see Lakemaster makes a Woods/Rainy chip now that is supposed to have all of Sabaskong on it. Anybody have any experience with that?
