Location: (South of the 218) | I found my first real treasure at the local Flea Market yesterday and only had to pay $3.00 (three bucks) for it... I was thinking of cleaning it up and throwing it in the fishin' room with my Son's mount.
What I found was a -
Garcia MITCHELL 600A ...spooled with some seriously heavy mono.
mounted to a 5'6" poolstick of a rod the only says MADE IN THE USA and "Hayward Muskie Special."
I can't find much online after only a little searching but thought that maybe some M1sters might have some expertise or knowledge to maybe tell me more. Any ideas on the Rod makers (St Croix maybe?) - how do I determine the year of the Reel? The serial # is plain as day. As far as I can tell, they stopped making them in 1986. So, it's at least that old...
Either way, after polishing it up a bit last night I'm thinking I might seriously give this old horse a ride!
