My best buddy, Shady the Amazing Fishing Dog! Warm winds have opened up the first 10-20 feet of water where I live. He and I walked down to an inlet to our lake and sure enough the pike were in shallow spawning. He was a-runnin' and a'gunnin, thrilled to be doing his favorite pastime after a long winter. Here's a pic of him plus one of a little pike next to shore. And I'll put one in when he was a puppy fishing with "Got my Git" Pappa Joe Neville and the best camp cook ever, Al Warner.(Hope I can do these pics; if I fail will a kindly moderator place the two pictures in this post?)
