Subject: Small Fall Muskies

On one of the lakes I fish, I have noticed that this time of year til ice-up I get alot of 25 to 30" muskies they bite better than the pike in early June. Does this happen all over? And why is this happening? Not complaning all muskies are cool, just wondering why.
