Location: oswego, il | Ken will give a presentation that deals with the challenges and changes with the muskellunge fishery in Little St. Germain Lake in northern Wisconsin.
The material will provide background data on the lake as Ken started fishing muskies hard in the late 1980's and what the fishery has gone through since then. Many changes have affected the lake including size limits, tribal harvests, water quality issues, habitat development, and angler attitude. A number of points will be made using survey work performed by the Wisconsin DNR and records kept by lake residents and resort owners. It will be an interesting program and may inspire some new ideas by the membership on how they approach their own waters and thinking about the long term health of the fishery.
