Hi Everyone.

Been thinking about getting a different jerkbait rod..something a little bit stiffer than what I have currently. Not sure if I should go longer or not, so I am looking for what many are using (also the reason why I didn't post the length I am using).

Responses as to stiffness along the rod blank would be nice as well. The one I have flexes all the way to the handle and I can feel it IN the handle as well...not sure I like that so much on the idea that I think it is harder to "load the rod" on a hook-set.

Also, if you have gone to the longer rods, can you explain why, and the angle of your rod as it changes during retrieval?

I would probably build the rod myself (one of those nice off-season projects) so recommending a brand is not needed... I know where I will purchase the materials from already...

Thanks!!

Steve
