| The weather was stable and hot, with east winds the entire week, and alittle rough stuff mixed in.
We caught pike up to 40" in so many numbers that we grew tired of landing the 30 to 34" fish by Wednesday.
Walleyes were easy, limiting quickly so we could return to chasing Muskies. I got a 41 and a 44, and lost seven, mostly because of 'weak' attempts to take the lure. The Undertaker was the hot ticket to see fish, with a Violent Strike spinnerbait a close second.
We saw 4 fish I would class as really good ones, and I had the biggest blast out of the water, tailwalk across the front of the boat, and crash back in, tossing the Undertaker ten feet in the process.
Indian Point Camp:
Shannon was a perfect hostess, and made sure our cabin and docking facilities were to our liking. Jason and I are going up in a couple weeks for a three day trip, and I CAN'T wait to see if I can get some payback on the ones that slipped by this trip! |
