Muskie Fishing -> General Discussion -> FOLLOWS

Message Subject: FOLLOWS

Subject: FOLLOWS

There are many different types of follows and there are many different ways to trigger these fish that are following. Is there anybody out there that has done any testing on triggering following fish and what presentation to use at a certian time? When would you use fast circles? when would you use "dipping"? when would you use walking the fish around the boat.

For example last year I used a technique for boat shy muskies that were very agressive. I dropped a spinnerbait down about 8 feet and I wouild rip it upwards (fast) then I would let it fall. It worked O.K. Caught only 1 fish / tried it 5 or 6 times. The fish hit the bait on its way up. I call this techniqe (Hwarfing)
