Subject: questions and baits for Muskies

I recently was at the octoara resivior on a boat fishign for largemouth bass in se pa. There were fishign jumping completely otu of the water that were 3 feet plus and i was almsot positive it was muskies. Do theses fish jump and also what can we use to catch a few. My buddy was using nightcrawlers and hooked into a huge fish that looked like a muskee on the jump broke the 8 pound test we were using. If any one can give me some info id appreciate it.
