I am flying in to a small Canadian shield lake in mid-August. The lake has a good mix of trout and meso water. Lot's of good weeds as well as submerged reefs, saddles, etc.....very good shield water. This is our second year on fishing this body of water. Last year, we had limited success....many follows, but most of the time we were focused on learning the water and finding fish. Can anyone suggest techniques and baits under various conditions that might be successful. How can we get the hooks set this year? I look forward to hearing everyone's advice. Thank you in advance for sharing insights.
