Heading to Mantrap Lake near Park Rapids from August 22-28th and looking for some info. This will be my first time fishing in MN. Any reports on the muskie fishing in this area? I know its been hot this summer. Hoping it cools off in the coming weeks.

If anyone has any advice for Mantrap specifically that would be awesome. I've done some research and understand the water is very clear, the fish can be boat shy, and low light conditions are best. From GPS imaging I can see that there are plenty of weeds on this lake, and some sand-bars in the larger basin (dont see much rock structure). We are staying on the west arm of the lake but I am hoping to explore it all wind and water level permitting.

Any help on fishing style, bait selection, boat placement, depth ranges, spots, or tips would be greatly appreciated! Hope everyone is having a great season.
