I have been thinking about trying single hooks on some of my smaller hard baits and maybe a couple bucktails and swim baits. My thought is single hooks work on spinnerbaits. I'm thinking would need to go up in size so the gap on the single is about as big as the width of the treble. Any thoughts or experiences? I already file all barbs off and have removed the middle hook on some cranks. Makes it quicker and easier to untangle the bait from the fish and net. Also removing a hook from my hand, have done that a couple times. Once at the ER and once in the boat. That's one of the reasons none of my baits have barbs any more.
