We are currently accepting applications for our event.
Musky Mission Complete
Our motto: Complet’n the Mission by Fish’n
This Year’s Retreat: September 12 - 15, 2019 - Cass Lake, MN
We take 12 Veterans on an all-expenses paid, guided fishing retreat. We keep it small to enhance the experience for the selected Veterans.
About Cass Lake
Cass Lake, MN is known to have some monster Muskies. We chose fall for our event because it gives our guides a better opportunity to help our Vets catch one of these beautiful beasts.
MMC Beginnings
In 2013, Matt, Mike, and Todd, all Veterans themselves, met while attending a similar event called Operation Muskie. They continued their friendship after the event and met multiple times a year to fish together. When they heard Operation Muskie was ending, they knew they had to do something. They had such a positive experience and they wanted to pay that forward! Matt, Mike, and Todd decided to get together with a group of Veteran friends at Lake Alexander, MN in the summer of 2016 for some musky fishing. Everyone attending had a great time. After the event, they
decided that they needed to host an annual retreat for Veterans in the spirit of Operation Muskie. Musky Mission Complete (MMC) was born.
Our Annual Retreat
At each event, the 12 selected Veterans receive a guided fishing trip. Here, they fish with professional musky guides every day. Each Veteran gets hands-on instruction from these volunteer professional guides. This all-expenses paid retreat is located at Cass Lake Lodge on Cass Lake, MN. Everyone gets to fish all day and meet 11 other Vets who know what you may be going through. Our goal is for you to make new friends and find new ways to help assist with the healing process of how to handle the stresses and thoughts you may have from your experiences. There is someone always willing to listen, when you’re on the water fishing.
What We are Asking
Musky Mission Complete is completely non-profit and we are a 501c3. This means all donations are tax deductible! We accept cash or items from anyone who wants to help. The donated items are either auctioned/raffled off for cash, or given as prizes to the Veterans. We use our funds to pay for lodging, meals, equipment and gas for the boats. Organizers and volunteers are not paid, nor do they receive financial benefit in any way for their time and/or efforts.
