Redoing an old Squirko. I have two questions since I'm sorta new to all this

1. What is the proper replacement tail, without have to order from the lure manufacturer? Doesn't quite look like a magombo 6"

2. What should I use as the top coat after painted. Never done a plastic lure, and I would think a heavy epoxy coat is unnecessary.
