Fished opening weekend in northern Minnesota and the only baits I moved fish on were topwater and Mike Hulbert's Shadillac. I moved 6 or 7 fish on the Shadillac on Saturday morning, but couldn't get any to eat. Saturday night I had one hot follow and then a another fish came screaming in and tried to eat the bait and the llunged on the top of the water at the bait but missed and then about 20 minutes later, right at sunset I cast out and one and a half cranks into my retrieve this fished crushed the Shadillac. Not a Minnesota Monster, but a great way to start the season and gives me a lot of confidence in this bait for the rest of the season.

My first musky of the year came on a Shadillac; fish crushed it. I really like some of the qualities in this bait and looking forward to solid season of putting it to the test.

I have no ties to Hulbert and only met the guy when I bought his bait. You think anybody that comes on here an says they like a bait is working for the company? ... I think that is funny.

Get yourself a Shadillac, a musky armor 8'6" rod and the net light and you'll be all set. Any state you go to the fish will show love to the shadillac.

Is there a link to purchase these direct from Mike?

Yes, I know Rollie & Helens has them. I'd rather not pay $8 for shipping + WI sales tax.

Picked up another fish on the Shadillac. This fish came from a metro lake. Plain and simple....This bait puts fish in the boat!!!

Wow, that is a great photo. I love the fins lit up by the sun and position of the fish. Great markings too!
