Here is the site for the WI Conserv. Congress county resolutions. I don't believe they are totaled, but you can add them up. Includes the Green Bay 54" resolution, by county.

Congratulations to Dennis and everyone else that worked hard on this. You guys deserve to catch a musky bigger than 54".

Put it back though.

Dennis thanks for getting the word out on this especially with the muskies inc crowd. I think muskies inc is an underutilized voting block in the spring hearings and needs to be mobilized to vote on issues that matter to people who musky fish.

Thanks again everyone!

Rather suprised. Shep was an awesome author, although the DNR fisheries rep was rather uninformed, saying that they cannot reach that size. Shep cited several fish that went WAY beyond 54". God Bless everyone involved! Muskys should die of old age, and nothing else!

way to go dennis and everyone who helped push this.
we have a lot of work to do for next year but were moving in great strides. im estatic cause my own brother said we couldn't do it.
next year i will be pushing people to get out and vote from the 2 organizations i am involved in.
1- Muske Nutz
2-Headwaters chapter Muskies Inc.

I really believe if we all goto our clubs and organizations and really try to get them out to vote next year.
we can do this.
We will get a yes vote on a 54" size limit on Green Bay and its Tributaries next Year.

I missed the Jefferson County votes. I noticed it wasn't listed with all the others and after looking at the other list at the end of those that didn't pass I saw it. Jim (Jefferson Author) you still made an impact and we appreciate all your help.

The good news is that this will be a statewide ballot item on next years Spring Hearing ballot for everyone to vote on......SO.....what we have done with this initial resolution, we now need to continue doing for next year. We need to keep generating positive support to get folks at the hearings next year to vote yes on the ballot. We will need folks to attend the hearings and step up to the microphone to express support and shed positive light on why we believe in this. What I noticed in Waukesha County this year was that all the ballot items that had a positive voice expressing why it was important...they all passed with a huge YES margin.

The other great news is right here in the results of what we accomplished. Getting this level of consistency and support on a "hand-in" resolution PROVES there is strength in numbers and unification...it just takes a little effort on everyones behalf to stand together!!!! I am so proud of our musky community and friends! As we were working on gaining support I recieved a fair number of calls and e-mails from foks who said we would never get this on the ballot and what we were thinking of doing was "impossible". I think what we have managed to achieve so far shows just how important it is to work with and under the advisement of the DNR on these issues, along with working together.

Stay tuned and we will continue to update everyone as we move forward.

Thanks again to all our authors, and especially those who attended and voted YES!!!!!!

I am suprised with the Vilas County results. Nice job to the rep there. The old coots up there might finally be realizing what size limits can do! Maybe they are finally openning their eyes to the Minnesota big fish and how much tourism and sportsman dollars is being lost.

Beg to differ, it IS their 'back yard'. As we are successful as a muskie community in raising size limits on trophy waters, several lakes IN Vilas stand to be on that list. Also, it's not just 'old guard' up in Vilas with a strong voice anymore.
