Does anybody troll Rapala Super Shads for Muskie? Tips or advice welcome.

Thank you.

Back in the Hay days on mill lacs guides used the super shad raps. Many in Green Bay also pull these a lot! They account for quite a few of the big fish caught. Many use some sort of snap on weights, or in line weighting systems to get a big spread on these.

Very effective on my neighborhood tiger lake. Both trolling and casting.

In 1994 In-Fisherman had a Video Muskie Mechanics and they had a segment on trolling Shad Raps and they caught some big fish and they passed it off as Lake O f The Woods but it was Winnipeg River. These lures Troll good except they are made of Balsa and it doesn't take long to get chewed up.

The SSR runs 5'-9' unweighted. Tackle Industries has a plastic knockoff that trolls down to about 18'.

Yes. They catch everything - especially honker walleyes.
