Hello everyone.
I'm heading to Georgian bay later this week for 8 days of musky fishing.
I've been fishing the area for musky for about 5 years, but never this late in the season.
Can anyone give me any pointers as to where to expect to find the fish at this time of year?
Any advice is appreciated.
Thanks!

When I see 263 views in 24 hours, I suspect it's counting bot visits to your page.

Given how untapped and unfished Georgian Bay is, I'd be happy if you get more than 1 or 2 responses.

I got bs'ed at the boat ramp the other day. guy told me he caught a 8.5 lb Largemouth on a Bomber saltwater lure that runs about 17ft, blue and silver. As one of the top guns on the lake, I never caught a 7lb. Then he gets to asking me about Walleye, Striper, Tiger Musky, etc. Since he gave up that great tip, I told him everything I know about catching those species: times, lures, spots. Since he caught a way bigger bass than me and all...

I’ve checked in on this topic twice now. As someone that will never fish Georgian Bay, I just like reading about new and “wild” destinations. Sorry I added to the clicks this page received. “I’m done with this forums”...page!

What do you want us to say? Find the schools of walleye and bass and the big girls won't be far behind. No turnover as of yet, I marked 57 degrees out on GBay the other day, no fish. Whitefish are also up shallow chasing nymphs. I'm going to bring my 4wt out with me the next time I go.

It's tough to do but like with any long term give & take relationship (with a person, pastime, sport or.. website), showing up with expectations only sets you up for continued disappointment. Believing and hoping are okay as long as you keep it to yourself; otherwise you come off as preachy =)

Spoke to one of the guys at my local fishing shop. He said good numbers were being caught in Honey Harbor area of Georgian bay. I am going later this week 2.5 hours north of there and will let community know how it went. I would love if someone could give advice on lower French River.

Take Care

You're in my favourite waters Mark. Lower French has pretty strong current, fish breaks and any structure/islands you find mid-river. I cast in-line spinners upstream and troll jakes downstream. Good area where French and Pickerel Rivers meet, Pickerel river also good fishing.
