Location: Northwest Chicago Burbs | I have 12 of the Okuma Magdas, from the 20s to the 45s in size. For the last 3 years I've been running them for salmon and muskie trolling, as well as for sucker rods. Are they flashy and fancy? No, definitely not. But, the drags are smooth, they have been maintenance-free, and the only one I've had to replace was a handle that came off after I slipped and my big fat butt landed on it. For $40 I really don't think you can find a better deal on a heavy-duty trolling and sucker reel.
