Ahhhhh- The water equivalent of a "Crotch Rocket"! Boat: Skeeter "ESOX Maniac" Model: 1988 SF150 - 17' 6" Motor: 1989 Johnson 150HP w/power trim. Troller: Johnson 1988 12V/24V - no clue as to the thrust. Sonar: Eagle mounted halfway between front casting deck & steering console- swivel's for dual use. Marine Radio Panasonic component stereo- next upgrade! +50" live well w/divider removed- + dual pumps! This was a tournament bass boat. Rear casting deck is awesome, and center area is sunken so it make releases really nice. Not a big rough water boat but very fishable, i.e. low to water and stable. Truck: Sold my 1978 k-5 Blazer- "Wild Thing" w/6" lift & 33" tires when we moved to Rhode Island in 1999. Now! Whatever I can find to pull the boat with! Have a hard time spending +30k for a truck. But have a couple of good friends who like to fish & don't have a boat. New truck is next year's budget. As for Ranger's "little" Muskie Fishing Machine- I'm surprised he disclosed the HP, the cover says "10HP". It's awesome- a veritable muskie fishin' platform. I've caught 3 of my last 4 Muskies fishing from Ranger's boat (44", 39.5" & 41"), so it really doesn't matter what the boat is- you have to be in the right spot w/ the right lure. Plus, it helps to have a great netman like Ranger. Al Warner http://www.zaltnad.com |
