Random quote: Muskies are nasty. They stink. They taste bad. They are hard to catch and will disappoint even the most devoted angler. The lures required cost more than some women's jewelry. The rods and reels require a remortgage of the house. The boat is always worth more than the tow vehicle. Sure beats the hell out of golf.

Two fish from big Sissabagama won it.
48" from spider was the big fish.
Around 70 fish caught.
I called Anglars Haven last night

Any thoughts on why no fish were registered on Lac Court Oreilles?

Is that because of the lack of stocking? Given the 50" size limit, you would think there would be an overall population increase?

Yea, not a very positive situation but it wouldn't seem to be the only factor. Twenty years ago LCO was a much different lake

Historically speaking, winter spearing has taken a number of nice fish out of LCO as well.

That's too bad. I haven't researched the limitations on spearing, but I would hope that there are controls that wouldn't negatively impact the quality of the musky fishing. I suppose I'm wrong in that assumption?

I don't believe there's any purpose in debating the treaty that granted rights to the indigenous people in the ceded territories. It is what it is.

It's still a great lake if you like to run around on your PWCs in the summertime.

Good point and it does seem that the fishing quality for other species is still fairy healthy
