hey gang,

I have 2 daiwa luna 300 that occasionally when i rip a dawg (for example) the drag just slips like i pressed the buttion in. Obviously i dont trust the reel to use, i know what will happen.

Easy fix? thanks, Rob

sounds like anti reverse which is common with those reels,or you need to tighten the drag all the way, getem fixed and sell or use as back up reels, buy something else, toro, calcutta, penn 975-965,the new shimano tranx, anything but those.

On Luna reels they have no backup pawl on the A/R Bearing so U have to use your thumb on the spool when U are ripping baits and on hook sets, The A/R Bearing is about $12.00
I can do it for U , PM me if U need done. PS all Luna reels are a great reel for the $$$$$$ just need to use your thumb on the spool.
