I know this isn't a bait or custom lure painting but thought you guys might like this. This is a custom option I have on my fishing rods. Let me know what you think. It is a real rattlesnake skin inlay with exotic feather weave trim on each end. The skin is 9" long and wraps completely around.

My honest opinion is that the skin looks great, but I would leave the feathers out.

Looks great Vince. I've done that on one of my rods and it turned ok for my own use, but not good enough that I'd want to sell it to a customer. Yours looks very nice and neat. The feathers look ok, but I'd probably do a thread wrap to terminate the skin....but that's JMO.

If anyone is interested I can have it all feathers or just skankeskin...basically anything you can imagine.
