I’ll be going down there on July 5th. I figured I may want to ask some questions here about the body of water so here goes: is there any specific baits I should absolutely take with me, what color baits, any tips for finding fish this time of season in the rivers? Also, would nightfishing be a valid strategy?

Be careful the Allegheny River is a very shallow river. Some nice holes. Fish the big rocks. I’ve had luck with the line thru trout, trout patterns. Also those phantom revenge softails.
When the sun goes down is a good time or early morning.
